Laboratory of Cell activity regulation

Current research activities of the laboratory are concentrated upon investigation of the dysfunctions in lipid modification and signal transduction rapid and reversible mechanisms in human blood lymphocyte plasma membranes at diverse types of cancer. Particularly, we have shown that changes in the processes of plasma membrane lipids short term acylation by exogenous arachidonic acid as well as in the activities of some enzyme systems of phospholipid modification are common characteristics for all the studied types of leukemia. Elucidated mechanisms can lead to the discovery of novel targets and modes for the personalized treatment of cancers.
