Workshop "Toxicology: scientific needs and structured education"
- 2018 -
Prof. Dr. Helga Stopper
Prof. Dr. Helga Stopper is the head of the program committee of the German Toxicological Society. She is a speaker of the Biomedical Section of the Wuerzburg University Graduate School and is acting head of the Department of Toxicology of the University of Wuerzburg, Germany.
Her laboratory studies the mutagenic activity and the mechanism of carcinogenic alterations of many substances in mammalian cells and monitors the genomic damage in patients affected by certain diseases or under certain treatments.
Dr. Henning Hintzsche
Dr. Henning Hintzsche is the leader of the working group at the Department of Toxicology of the University of Wuerzburg, Germany.
His group studies the effects of different physical agents on biological systems aiming to elucidate underlying mechanisms in order to enable precise risk characterisation of these factors and to study the therapeutic potential of these agents in combination with pharmacological substances.
Dr. rer. nat. Ezgi Eylül Bankoglu
Dr. Bankoglu is a Post-doctoral fellow at the Department of Toxicology of the University of Wuerzburg, Germany.
Her research area is focused on Genomic damage through endogenous hormones like insulin and genomic damage associated with obesity.
Dr. Nelli Babayan
Dr Babayan is the head of the group of Cell technologies at the Institute of Molecular Biology, NAS RA.
The research activities of her group focus on in vitro safety testing of potential therapeutic agents, biopharmaceuticals, medical devices, chemicals, agrochemicals and cosmetics. They also studies the influence of ROS and radiation on genome instability and epigenetic changes.
Dr. Tigran Harutyunyan
Dr. Harutyunyan is a researcher at the Department of Genetics and Cytology of Yerevan State University. He specializes in the area of genetic toxicology, focusing on genomic damage and epigenetic changes associated with male infertility.
